Can I do a partial rewire instead?

Can you repair aluminum wiring without a full rewire?
Often, yes. The recognized remediation for 1960s-70s aluminum branch wiring is a copper pigtail at every device and junction using AlumiConn or COPALUM connectors, which addresses the actual failure point, the connections, without opening every wall.
